  • Analytical Cookies

    Cookies and similar technology that help us understand how users interact with the website/solution by anonymously collecting and reporting information. They also help us measure content performance.

    These cookies, their purposes and duration are:

    _hjSessionUser_xxxxxx – Hotjar cookie that is set when a user first lands on a page with the Hotjar script. It is used to persist the Hotjar User ID, unique to that site on the browser. This ensures that behavior in subsequent visits to the same site will be attributed to the same user ID. Duration – 1 year.

    _hjFirstSeen – Identifies a new user’s first session on a website, indicating whether or not Hotjar’s seeing this user for the first time. Duration – 30 minutes.

    _hjTLDTest – When the Hotjar script executes we try to determine the most generic cookie path we should use, instead of the page hostname. This is done so that cookies can be shared across subdomains (where applicable). To determine this, we try to store the _hjTLDTest cookie for different URL substring alternatives until it fails. After this check, the cookie is removed. Duration – session.

    _hjIncludedInPageviewSample – This cookie is set to let Hotjar know whether that visitor is included in the data sampling defined by your site’s pageview limit. Duration – 30 minutes.

    _hjIncludedInSessionSample_xxx – Needed to Hotjar Tracking Code functions correctly. Set to determine if a user is included in the data sampling defined by site’s daily session limit. Duration – 30 minutes.

    _hjAbsoluteSessionInProgress – This cookie is used by HotJar to detect the first pageview session of a user. This is a True/False flag set by the cookie. Duration – 30 minutes.

    _hjSession_xxxxxx – A cookie that holds the current session data. This ensues that subsequent requests within the session window will be attributed to the same Hotjar session. Duration – 30 minutes.

    _hjRecordingEnabled – Hotjar sets this cookie when a Recording starts and is read when the recording module is initialized, to see if the user is already in a recording in a particular session. Duration – never.

    _gclxxxx – This is the Google conversion tracking cookie. It allows us to count visits and traffic sources, so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. Duration – 90 days.

    _gid – Google Analytics sets this cookie to store information on how visitors use a website while also creating an analytics report of the website’s performance. Some of the collected data includes the number of visitors, their source, and the pages they visit anonymously. Duration – 1 day.

    _gat_UA-* – Google Analytics sets this cookie for user behaviour tracking. Duration – 1 minute.

    _ga_xxxxxxx – This cookie name is associated with Google Universal Analytics – which is a significant update to Google’s more commonly used analytics service. This cookie is used to distinguish unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. It is included in each page request in a site and used to calculate visitor, session and campaign data for the sites analytics reports.  By default it is set to expire after 2 years, although this is customisable by website owners.

    _ga_* – Google Analytics sets this cookie to store and count page views. Duration – 1 year, 1 month and 4 days.

    visitor_id*-hash – Pardot sets this cookie to store a unique user ID. Duration – 1 year, 1 month and 4 days.

    lpv891233 – Pardot sets this cookie to store and count pageviews. Duration – 30 minutes.

    CONSENT – YouTube sets this cookie via embedded YouTube videos and registers anonymous statistical data. Duration – 2 years.

    These cookies are used to better understand user interests and display more relevant advertisements.
